CULTURAL INDUSTRIES AND INNOVATION

Cultural industries are defined by UNESCO as activities whose main purpose is the production, reproduction, promotion, distribution, or commercialization of goods, services, and activities of a cultural, artistic, or heritage-related nature.

In Argentina, cultural industries represent more than 2% of the economy and, according to the Cultural Information System of Argentina (SINCA), generate over 300,000 jobs.

The fourth edition of the Cultural Industries and Innovation Training Program is for provincial agents working in areas such as culture, cultural industries, creative industries, the knowledge economy, or related fields connected to the management and design of public policies within their jurisdictions.

  • Provide innovative content and management tools to help participants design public policies for the sustainable development of the cultural sector.
  • Train provincial government agents to open new markets by incorporating new technologies and innovation.
  • Create links to build a federal network of cultural managers in the public sector.

Provincial officials working in culture, cultural industries, creative industries, the knowledge economy, or related fields linked to the management and design of public policies.

Applicants must hold a university or tertiary degree, have completed specialization courses in the cultural field, or demonstrate proven public management experience in the sector.

Mixed, with online classes and in-person sessions.

The program includes three components: lectures, workshops, and federal integration sessions.
It involves around 90 hours of blended learning: 2 weekly online sessions of 60 minutes each —lectures and workshops— and 2 in-person sessions throughout the year (Federal Integration Sessions), at least one of them in Buenos Aires City.
Throughout the program, experts will lecture on cultural industries and innovation across different disciplines. In addition, workshops will be held where participants will work on the design of a public policy project.
The program also includes two in-person Federal Integration Sessions lasting approximately two and a half days, fostering interaction among provincial officials through workshops, discussions, and visits to public and private cultural institutions. During these sessions, three selected public policy projects will be presented.

Introduction to creative industries and cultural management / Data and indicators for cultural policy-making / Video game industry / Audiovisual industry / Performing arts / Digital sound ecosystem / Music industry / Publishing industry / Visual arts / Crafts and popular expressions / Design / Gastronomy and wine tourism / Market access / Public policy design and formulation workshops

Each provincial group must attend 100% of the lectures.

Each participant must individually attend at least 50% of the online sessions and 75% of the workshops.

Participants must also successfully complete the challenges involved in designing and formulating their public policy project.

Attendance and active participation in both in-person Federal Integration Sessions are required.

Registration for the program has ended.
