CULTURAL INDUSTRIES AND INNOVATION

Cultural industries, defined by UNESCO as activities oriented toward the production and circulation of goods and services of a cultural or heritage nature, represent more than 2% of Argentina's economy and generate over 300,000 jobs, according to SINCA. Despite their relevance, challenges remain to strengthen and diversify the sector from the provinces, with greater professionalization and public policies that support its development.

In this context, the Diploma in Cultural and Creative Industries offered by CFI's Federal School of Development provides comprehensive training for provincial officials, equipping them with theoretical and practical tools to drive sustainable growth, promote the formulation of public policies, and manage projects that respond to current singularities and opportunities. The program covers subsectors such as performing arts, music, gastronomy, crafts, visual arts, publishing, design, audiovisual, digital content (OTT), and video games.

  • Provide innovative content and management tools that enable participants to develop public policies for the sustainable development of the cultural sector, with a focus on cultural industries, innovation, digitalization, and market expansion.
  • Strengthen the conceptual and operational capacities of provincial technical teams to design, implement, and evaluate cultural public policies with a strategic, sustainable, and innovative approach to the CCIs.
  • Develop skills to identify opportunities, open new markets, and promote the incorporation of technologies and innovation in cultural and creative industries from the public sector.

Provincial officials working in culture, cultural industries, creative industries, the knowledge economy, or related fields linked to the management and design of public policies.

Applicants must hold a university or tertiary degree, have completed specialization courses in the cultural field, or demonstrate proven public management experience in the sector.

Mixed, with online classes and in-person sessions.

The program includes three components: lectures, workshops, and federal integration sessions.
It involves around 150 hours of blended learning: 2 weekly online sessions of 90 minutes each —lectures and workshops— and 2 in-person sessions throughout the year (Federal Integration Sessions), at least one of them in Buenos Aires City.
Throughout the program, experts will lecture on cultural industries and innovation across different disciplines. In addition, workshops will be held where participants will work on the design of a public policy project.
The program also includes two in-person Federal Integration Sessions lasting approximately two and a half days, fostering interaction among provincial officials through workshops, discussions, and visits to public and private cultural institutions. During these sessions, three selected public policy projects will be presented.
