INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT OF WATER RESOURCES
Argentina is a vast country with an uneven distribution of water resources. To address the complex scenarios of today and the future —driven by climate change and shifts in land use— it is essential to promote coordinated management of resources, prioritizing the environmental, social, and economic sustainability of every activity.
With this purpose, the CFI, together with provincial governments, implements the Integrated management of water resources Program.
This academic initiative is aimed at technical staff from provincial agencies responsible for water resources management, providing innovative tools to advance more efficient, fair, and sustainable use and management of water.
- Provide tools for integrated water resources management, prioritizing the environmental, social, and economic sustainability of all activities.
- Promote knowledge transfer through alliances among public agencies, academia, the private sector, and international experts.
- Strengthen the creation of a professional community working as a network, beyond provincial realities and disciplinary fields.
- Lectures (online)
- Participatory workshops (in-person)
- Integration sessions (in-person)
Participants must submit a final project applying the knowledge gained to solve a problem or design specific courses of action.
The final project will be evaluated by an academic committee. To complete the program, participants must attend at least 75% of online sessions, participate in at least 2 of the 3 in-person sessions, submit periodic evaluations, and present and pass the final project.
