DIPLOMA PROGRAM IN HEALTH POLICY MANAGEMENT AND INNOVATION

The growing complexity of public health issues—epidemiological and sociodemographic transition, the increasing prevalence of chronic noncommunicable diseases, high-cost treatments, and the expanding impact of new technologies—poses new challenges for a health system characterized by institutional fragmentation and territorial inequalities.

This calls for long-term strategic planning with a federal and multisectoral perspective, as well as a leading role for the provinces in building a shared vision capable of addressing the needs for coordination and integration across jurisdictions, levels of government, subsystems, and networks of care.

The Diploma Program in Health Policy Management and Innovation offered by the Federal School of Development of the Federal Investment Council (CFI) seeks to promote debate and reflection on the critical issues that currently shape the health policy agenda. The program is structured around the exchange of perspectives and experiences as a core working methodology. Its purpose is to foster the development of innovative responses to the main challenges facing the health sector today, with a strong focus on the specific realities of each province.

  • Promote innovative approaches to public health policy, with a particular focus on models of care, management, and financing, the strengthening of human resources and health information systems, and the digital transformation of the health system.
  • Enhance capabilities for the design and implementation of public health policy projects, applying the program’s contents to concrete proposals that address priority challenges at the territorial level.
  • Generate networks among decision-makers and technical teams from the different provinces, fostering the creation of a community of practice to address shared challenges through coordinated and sustainable solutions.

Officials and technical teams from provincial ministries of health who hold strategic roles related to planning, management, or decision-making.

In addition, applicants must hold a higher education degree (university or non-university course of study with a minimum duration of four years) and have a strong interest in health policy design and innovation.
