TRAINING PROGRAM IN SMART TOURIST DESTINATIONS
Training in tourism development and particularly in smart tourism destinations as a productive sector constitutes a necessity and an opportunity to provide officials, technical teams and leaders of provincial tourism with new theoretical and practical tools to advance in the formulation, presentation and evaluation of projects that contribute to the sustainable development of tourism in our country.
A smart tourist destination is innovative and accessible. It is consolidated on a technological infrastructure that guarantees sustainable development, facilitates the interaction and integration of visitors with the environment and improves their experience and the quality of life of the local population.
The objective of the CFI Program is to stimulate the development of the sector by training participants on public policy making and project management in the tourism sector in order to provide innovative solutions to the specific challenges and opportunities of each region.
Delve into and analyze the concept of Smart Tourist Destination (STD) in order to promote its relevance and potential impact, fostering the development of the sector and contributing to the formulation and evaluation of tourism and recreational investment projects as a tool for sustainable and inclusive development.
For this purpose, it is essential to promote the generation of a network of civil servants and workers from the public sector of the provincial tourism areas in order to foster discussion and joint efforts.
The second module focuses on a diagnosis and analysis methodology to identify the needs and opportunities of these destinations.
The third module presents a planning methodology to develop effective strategies.
Finally, the fourth module addresses the presentation and evaluation of projects to ensure their viability and success.
At the end of the course, students will be prepared to formulate, evaluate and present projects for the development of smart tourist destinations.
Two (2) participants per province are selected. The proposal is submitted to the CFI by the provincial representatives or by the persons designated for this task.
This formative evaluation focuses on the entire learning process to ensure participants understand all the concepts and ideas addressed throughout the course and are able to apply them in real-life situations in order to solve local problems with innovative solutions.
