PROJECT IDENTIFICATION, FORMULATION, AND EVALUATION

This training program is made for public officials, professionals and technical teams who work in project design. The goal is to give them the concepts and practical tools they need to create effective and efficient investment projects, with strong impact and long-term sustainability.

Provide tools for those who work in different stages of project design and help participants understand the full project cycle. Also, teach how to design investment projects that are efficient, effective, sustainable and with real impact.

Provincial officials and technical staff involved in project design, especially in areas related to infrastructure and productive development (such as Executing Units or similar bodies).

Requirement: Previous experience in investment project design is mandatory.

Mixed: online and in-person

  • Online theoretical and practical classes
  • In-person workshops


Module 1 - Introducción: Projects as public policy and their link to the SDGs.

Definition, context, components, financing, and the Federal Bank of Investment Projects (BFPI) as a key tool.


Module 2 - Project Cycle

How to identify projects using problem/solution trees, diagnostics, and definition of beneficiaries.
Work on technical studies, theory of change, and social/economic evaluations.


Module 3 - Environmental & Social Evaluation

Assessment of environmental and social impacts, risks, and standards.
Gender perspective in all project stages.
Climate change adaptation and mitigation.


Module 4 - Monitoring & Evaluation

Key concepts, types of indicators, and the Logical Framework Matrix (LFM) as central tool. Also, financial planning with PEP (multi-year plan) and POA (annual plan).

To complete the program, participants must attend at least 75% of the classes and activities, pass the four evaluations (one at the end of each module), take part in the closing activity and deliver a final project profile.
