CFI Podcast: A Production on the Strategic Themes of Development
CFI Podcast explores, through different formats, the complexity of the strategic themes in which the Council works together with Argentina’s provinces — topics that are key to the country’s future.
Each episode delves into issues related to innovation, sustainability, and development planning from a federal perspective, describing concrete projects and the opportunities available to provinces within the most dynamic sectors of productive activity to move toward socially and economically equitable sustainable development.
Each chapter stands on its own and features interviews with CFI teams, along with contributions from specialists from across the country who work in the field on initiatives involving innovation, sustainability, and long-term planning.
The first episode, “Energy Transition and Green Hydrogen,” focuses on projects aimed at generating renewable energy to replace traditional energy sources with cleaner alternatives—an issue at the core of the global sustainable development agenda. It explains what green hydrogen is, why it represents an environmentally viable option, and what opportunities it opens up for Argentina’s provinces within the complex landscape of the energy transition.
The second episode, “Energy Transition and Sustainable Mining,” explores new ways to produce clean energy and highlights the essential role of critical minerals such as lithium and copper—strategic natural resources for Argentina’s productive, economic, and social development. Defining what is meant by sustainable mining is crucial within the framework of the energy transition.
The third episode, “Sustainable Production and Climate Change,” examines the challenges of producing sustainably in a context of climate crisis that demands innovative and environmentally responsible solutions in the medium and long term. Creating new production models that preserve natural resources and improve energy efficiency also represents an opportunity for provincial development.
The fourth episode, “Towards a Federal Logistics System,” addresses the opportunities and challenges of logistics in Argentina to foster regional economic growth, increase exports, and enhance territorial integration. Moving toward a federal and efficient logistics system is a key step to strengthening the country’s productive development.
Upcoming episodes will focus on innovation and planning, exploring traditional productive sectors that are embracing innovation—such as the wine industry—alongside creative and knowledge-based industries, and the opportunities of the bioeconomy, among others.
