Federal Summit to Strengthen Local Suppliers in Lithium Mining
The CFI, the Lithium Roundtable, and the IDB brought together governors, companies, industry chambers, and international organizations to strengthen the integration of local suppliers into the mining value chain.
The event was attended by the governors of Jujuy, Carlos Sadir; Catamarca, Raúl Jalil; and Salta, Gustavo Sáenz. Companies from the sector, industry chambers, and international organizations also participated.
Against a backdrop of growing global demand for minerals, the development of regional suppliers is emerging as a strategic priority for creating jobs, diversifying provincial economies, and expanding productive capacity in mining regions.
During the event, studies and initiatives were presented to identify opportunities for Argentine SMEs. The work included analyses of projected demand for inputs, equipment, and services, together with technical and financial assistance tools to strengthen the competitive positioning of local businesses.
The meeting concluded with workshops aimed at translating the findings into public policies and agreements that promote sustainable growth in productive regions.
