First Forest Logistics Meeting

As part of the Federal Logistics Strategy, the First Forest Logistics Meeting was held — a space for dialogue and exchange among the main stakeholders of the forestry logistics ecosystem. The event brought together representatives from the governments of Buenos Aires, Chaco, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Formosa, Misiones, and Santa Fe, as well as key actors from the forestry production and transportation sectors.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the main lines of action of the Federal Logistics Strategy and presented provincial projects aimed at improving forestry logistics. They also discussed the most significant challenges affecting production and cargo transport in the sector, proposing joint actions and projects to enhance the competitiveness of the logistics chain.

Topics addressed included the current situation and logistics challenges of each province; transport infrastructure (roads, railways, and ports); the implementation of innovative technologies and practices; sustainability and forest management; the reduction of logistics costs; and public-private collaboration to improve the efficiency of the forestry logistics chain.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of investment in infrastructure and regulatory simplification to optimize logistics across the sector, reducing both time and costs along the supply chain.
