Program of Sustainable Actions for Productive Activities 2023
The CFI launched the Sustainable Actions for Productive Activities Program, which has three fundamental objectives: contributing to environmental stewardship through the efficient and sustainable use of natural resources, promoting a circular economy and good environmental practices in productive industries and fostering the rational use of energy and its generation from renewable sources in productive sectors that the provinces consider a priority.
The program began with the signing of adhesion agreements by the provinces and its implementation is organized into four modules:
- Awareness: Through an awareness campaign aimed at leaders in strategic productive sectors and focused on the importance of advancing towards responsible production models in terms of environmental and energy management, the companies and professionals who will participate in this initiative will be selected.
Training: a group of professionals will be trained in each province to become environmental and energy managers and tutors and then carry out surveys and diagnostics at the companies that signed up for the program.
- Technical assistance: Based on the environmental and energy diagnosis of each company, proposals for improvement will be prepared to move towards a more sustainable and efficient production.
- Financing: The implementation of sustainable management and energy efficiency improvements that require new infrastructure, technology or machinery may be financed with lines of credit from the CFI.
The whole purpose of the program is for these strategic sectors in each region to incorporate the concept of “triple impact” through devices that optimize profits while improving the social environment and result in a sustainable development model.
