2022 Federal Bioeconomy Summit
The first Federal Bioeconomy Summit, a joint initiative of the government of the Province of Santa Fe and the Federal Investment Council (CFI), was held on October 26 and 27, 2022, in the city of Rosario, with the aim of promoting a federal agenda to foster sustainable and innovative development policies.
Over two days, prominent speakers from the scientific community, the public sector and tech companies and startups discussed the opportunities and challenges involved in using the wide variety of biological resources available in the provinces and the country as the core of a new circular economy paradigm sparking a positive social, economic and environmental impact.
The gathering was attended by governors Omar Perotti (Santa Fe), Gerardo Morales (Jujuy) and Mariano Arcioni (Chubut), the Minister of Science and Technology of Argentina, Daniel Filmus, and the General Secretary of the CFI, Ignacio Lamothe. It featured various panels and discussions around three main themes: the strategic will to promote innovative projects, the link of the bioeconomy with the perspectives of territorial development and its importance as a vector of international insertion for regional production.
