CFI and the provinces hosted a federal forum to finance port projects
The Federal Forum on Logistics Investment for Ports was held at the CFI headquarters. The initiative aimed to connect the country's port terminals with different sources of financing for strategic infrastructure works.
The event took place within the framework of the Port Competitiveness Plan, part of the Federal Logistics Strategy, a joint working scheme with the port provinces to reposition waterborne transport and optimize the distribution chains of national production.
The forum brought together authorities from the port provinces, public and private port administrators, business and export chambers, representatives of the national government, and diplomatic delegations. The main multilateral lending institutions also took part, including the World Bank, the IDB, CAF, FONPLATA, CABEI, IFC, and IDB Invest.
Throughout the event, participants analyzed the outlook for provincial systems and the technical requirements for financing approval. More than 50 bilateral working meetings were also held to connect local projects with lending institutions and coordinate the preparation of the detailed designs needed to carry them out.
Through this coordinated effort, the CFI and the provinces are moving forward with comprehensive planning aimed at reducing logistics costs for regional economies and strengthening export competitiveness throughout the country.
