Energy Strategy for the Litoral Region
The provinces of the Litoral Region (Chaco, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Formosa, Misiones and Santa Fe) are moving forward with the regional chapter of the Federal Energy Strategy (EFE) together with the Federal Investment Council (CFI).
The goal is to identify bottlenecks in energy generation, transmission and distribution that affect the performance of the region's main production chains.
The initiative is built around an analysis of the production chains prioritized by the provinces and of the different components of the energy system. This analysis draws on the views of the main stakeholders in the regional energy ecosystem, from both the public sector (provincial and national) and the private sector.
Based on this analysis, the initiative seeks to identify priority projects in infrastructure, operations, management and regulation that help strengthen production sectors that still face serious difficulties in accessing a steady, secure and affordable energy supply.
The EFE aims to design a planning and management tool that allows provincial governments to organize and prioritize strategic projects in line with their economic and territorial development goals. The purpose is to make Litoral production more competitive by improving the regional energy system.
