First-Stage Results of the Federal Energy Strategy for the Litoral Region Presented

The results of the first stage of the Federal Energy Strategy for the Litoral Region were presented in Paraná, Entre Ríos. This initiative, jointly promoted with Entre Ríos, Santa Fe, Corrientes, Misiones, Chaco, and Formosa—the six provinces that make up the region—seeks to establish energy as a key asset for the growth of local value chains through coordinated federal planning.
The initial work consisted in a comprehensive territorial assessment of the consumption and needs of ten key industrial and agro-industrial production chains, based on consultations with more than 120 public- and private-sector companies. This sectoral assessment identified more than 180 priority projects to optimize regional supply. One of the main challenges identified was the need to improve energy transmission and distribution infrastructure through projects involving the expansion of electricity grids, high-voltage lines, and gas pipelines.
With the project portfolio now consolidated, the plan is entering a second stage focused on defining financing arrangements, implementing training programs for provincial technical teams, and addressing regulatory matters.
The goal is to replicate this energy planning model in other regions in order to create a project map that serves as a roadmap toward sustainable development throughout the country.
