Innova CFI Opens Its Second Call for Applications to Fund Technology Startups

From October 1 to November 4, 2026, Innova CFI, the innovation investment fund designed to promote scientific and technological development in Argentina’s provinces, will accept proposals under its second call for applications. The initiative seeks to support startups that address strategic productive challenges and transform local knowledge into solutions with regional and global impact.
The initiative is aimed at early-stage companies (pre-seed and seed) with an initial level of technological maturity that conduct their research activities in Argentina. Financing is provided through a flexible contingent debt arrangement under which repayment is linked to the project’s revenue and commercial growth, with an option to convert the financing into an equity interest.
This new call builds on the work that began under the first call, which exceeded expectations in terms of nationwide participation, as well as the quality and number of projects submitted. More than 300 initiatives from across Argentina were submitted in the first edition, with projects in biotechnology, energy, digital transformation, and various fields of engineering reaching the final stage. The selected proposals included solutions for disease diagnosis, circular-economy-based agricultural bio-inputs, and technologies aimed at improving digital infrastructure and data management across different traditional value chains in Argentina.
This new round is part of an ongoing cycle of regular calls for applications aimed at supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The call is open to all tech verticals with a direct impact on productive development in the provinces.
