Logistics roadmap to support the growth of the lithium industry
As part of the Federal Logistics Strategy promoted by the CFI, a comprehensive assessment of the lithium value chain in Northwest Argentina was presented, as the sector faces the challenge of multiplying its production and consolidating its export profile over the next decade.
The study identifies the main operational constraints on the activity—such as the sharp imbalance between inbound supply flows and outbound mineral shipments, wear and tear on mountain roads, and the need to modernize border crossings and railway branch lines—and outlines a set of priority interventions aimed at developing logistics nodes, bonded warehouses, road connectivity, and energy networks to reduce transport costs and boost regional productive development.
